Carolina News needed a modern update to its outdated branding and motion graphics. To refresh its look, I incorporated USC’s visual branding while creating a unique identity for Carolina News. Rather than heavily using USC’s garnet, I chose from their brighter secondary palette, more suited to a student-run news organization.
The result is a sleek new motion graphics package, revamped logo, and a brand guide. Assigning colors to content sections effectively organized the broadcast, positioning Carolina News as a modern, relevant news source ready to engage its audience.
